Mom's Birthday

Today is my mother's birthday. She is now my son's Memaw as well so I guess the post should actually read Memaw's birthday as well. I am so grateful to have my mother still hear with me on earth. Today, she will receive a birthday call from me wishing her a happy birthday. Her present will have to wait until we can see her this weekend. She is having to work on her birthday and we are not going to be able to go and see her before she leaves for work. So Happy Birthday Mom. I love you !

Isaac's B-day party

 

I can hardly beleive that my dear son is three years old. We had his birthday party at our house last weekend. He is a big Thomas fan as you can see from the picture. We also had a bunch of people over. Thanks to all his family and friends who showered him with love, gifts and affection.

Praise and Worship Music

Our church is starting a new alternative worship service, which I am a part of. Right now my husband is trying out open source worship presentation software. I am going to try and help him as much as I can but I am not too computer literate. I am learning as I go I guess that is the best way.
Well back to the reason for the post. I love praise and worship music. Right now my favorite song is "Run into your arms". It is such a beautiful song the words are so meaningful. Today is a day that I would love to be curled up in my Savior's arms. Thank you Lord for the strength that you give me everyday even when I don't ask you for it.

Memorial Day

What a day! I am so thankful for all the men and women who fight for my freedom everyday. My prayer is that all of you are kept safe and that your families are taken care of while you are away. Thanks again for all the work that you do for us.

Fun Festival

Last night we had a Fun Festival where I work as a fund raiser. It was such a blast! In my room, we had a bean bag toss. Other rooms had popcorn, fishing and other tossing games. For the first half we went around to the other rooms and ate supper. In the gym they had the inflatable bouncy slides, and a bouncy castle. As you may have guessed my little guy wanted to bounce and slide. We had a great time but carrying a 32lb toddler up a bouncy slide is no picnic. My arms and shoulders are a bit sore this morning. My back even hurts a little. I wish I has pictures to show you all the fun that we had but I didn't take any although my co-worker did so I will have to see if I can get her to give me the picture. It was a blast. It just reminds me of how old I am getting and how out of shape that I am.

Joys of Motherhood

Motherhood means a lot more to me now that I am a mother. Mothers feel everything. Our emotions run the spectrum. One minute you feel pride that your child can run and play and the next you feel the aggravation of having to chase after them. Here let me explain .

Our dear son was a late walker 21months to be exact. While we were waiting for him to walk and pushing hard for him to walk people would often tell me that I would regret it. I now understand what they were saying I don't regret it but I do miss being able to hold my sweet boy and him not beg to get down. His exact words " Get down NOW!"

I can't help but look back at pictures taken almost three years ago of this 9lb15oz boy and wonder where in the world the time has gone. Dear son I do want you to grow and bloom but do so slowly so that I do not forget to savor the moments that we share my dear one. You have caused my motherly instinct to kick in. I love you and the times that we share as we grow together.
